Suicide solution
Two days ago we had a suicide (fueled by alcohol psychosis) attempt in our family. We also have a young teen (13) that is depressed and perhaps suicidal. The teenager doesn't know what happened to her sister (why is she in a mental ward instead of a rehab). I want her to know what is going on, but it is not my decision.

I post this here today to help those of us that have thought these thoughts before, but have not acted, or were not successful. I hope we all would gladly carry our pain / depression /symptoms instead of inflicting it on our loved ones in this way.

I don't mean to be preachy. I don't know what I mean. Apologies to those that suffer that might have been offended by this post.

Peace and low stress.

4. My thoughts are with you. I hope you find relief for your pain.
I attempted suicide at 17 and am so glad I failed. I had suicidal thoughts in my 20s but avoided situations that would allow me to carry them out. Thank you for the non-judgmental reminder to live. Suicide is not a selfish act. It is the desperate act of a mentally ill person who believes it is the only solution.

5. I don't think I should share my thoughts on suicide and it's effects on others.
I highly doubt it would be what many want to hear.

I am glad in your family's case it wasn't successful, and I hope things get better for those involved.
