1. Yeah...it happens.
But it's almost always inaccurate.

People DO care.

2. The people who post in this forum care about you
I've followed your posts and I know that for a while there you were feeling better after you started taking an anti-depressant. I also saw your bleak thread here that got locked recently. Has the medication stopped working for you? Probably about all of the people who post here have struggled with depression at some point in their lives. I know I have to the point of being suicidal. I think one of the most productive and supportive forms of therapy I've had was when I was in group therapy. There are probably support groups around where you live. Check into it.

4. Yeah
My girlfriend (at least until the next time I talk to her) seems determined to prove that no one does.

Don't let it get to you. No matter how bad things get, they could always be worse. You could be a republican.

10. Every day and all the time
It;s been that way since my earliest memories. My parents had me before Roe v. Wade, and they really resented it. If there is one word that sums up my entire life on this planet, it is "rejection". I live alone and rarely spend time around anyone else. If I didn't have pets to care for I wouldn't be here.

I hope that your situation isn't the same. Maybe it just *seems* that no one really cares? Do you have family? Friends?

14. That first cat may be the most beautiful one I've ever seen.
:wow:

With fuzzy friends like that who needs people? And if they're what is keeping you here than thank them for me.

My cat Frisco keeps me going quite often as well.

17. Aww, thanks. Oberon is about the most beautiful cat I've ever seen too
He's my giant hairy snugglepuss. He wakes me up in the morning, demanding cuddles. He'll lay down next to me, his nose against mine, wraps his big paws around my neck and purrs like a lion. He looks fierce, but he's just a big, needy baby-and it's good to be needed by someone!

18. Those pics are awesome.
What a cool looking cat!! I've never seen a Maine Coon with the gray coloring like that. The mane makes him look regal.

13. Sometimes, but honestly, it's not really something I care about one way or the other.
I'm a pretty asocial character, so when I do feel that way it really doesn't register much. Sometimes it does get to me, but usually I can just laugh about it and mock myself for feeling that way. And I know no matter how low I'm feeling that a couple people truly do care (both DUers, and great women to boot).

However, that's just me, and I certainly don't mock anyone else who does feel that way. I can imagine if that feeling runs deep it can be very sad and tough to deal with. I hope you can get through this feeling you have. I suspect that there are people here that do care about you, and while we don't know each other I'd like to think that all of us down here in this forum care about one another. :pals:

15. Yes and sometimes I go into the truely dark times of planning my funeral.
My grandson keeps me going. sometimes I feel so bad about clinging so tight to a 9-year-old.

16. Do you have a fur friend? I'd be lost without mine.
Edited on Thu May-22-08 01:10 AM by BeHereNow
Fur people love you unconditionally and expect nothing in return
but some food and cuddling.

If you don't have one, you simply must get one ASAP!
Trust me, there are MANY fur people who NEED you
at your local animal shelter...
They too feel like no one cares about them as they
sit in cages waiting for some one to love.

"The greatest thing- you'll ever learn
is just to love
and be loved
in return"
The author of that song never specified
whether the love had to be from a human...
Lately, I prefer the fur people to the humans.
