aches
I dunno what it is, but my muscles have been aching like hell, lately. It's bad, it hurts to do anything.I have the worst apathy I'm fighting these days.I don't want to do anything.I don't care, I just do the minimum stuff pay the bulls ,wash the dishes take the trash out,I want to make an appointment with my back doc but time slips away and i forget or just lapse into a morass I feel tired alot, listless,I dunno I think I am sick of hurting, sick of the daily hassles, the bullshit, sick of cold weather, sick of feeling so alone,in this, life is so damn pointless.I have nothing to look forward to.

1. There's not a lot to be happy about in this world right now
Everything is going well for me in my personal life, but it's still hard for me to be happy and I think that is the case for any person who is aware of what is happening in the world. If things sucked in my personal life as well I'd probably be feeling like you, too. I'm not sure what the cause of your problem might be, but I know that depression can make your body ache.

Here's a site that might help with the apathy: http://www.freedocumentaries.org/

I highly recommend "The War on Demcocracy" and also see "Sicko" if you haven't yet. All of the movies on the site are free to view, but you'll probably need a high speed connection.

2. have you tried a rice sock for aches and pains? it is also very comforting
My rice sock has been my savior through the cold winter and when I hurt.

I'm in a hypomanic phase right now and getting lots of cleaning/sorting/organizing done that I couldn't do when I was depressed and unable to think clearly. Of course this triggers more aches and pains, so I just sit and read DU til the spasming stops.

I chose to do without meds for bipolar II because of my adverse reactions.

I am getting through the down days by constantly reminding myself that they too will pass which is one benefit to having a cyclical disorder.

I am learning how to make lemonade out of the lemons life has given me. Sometimes it's sour and sometimes it's sweet, but I know that it will always change.

3. Aches and pains are an intrinsic aspect of my depression.
What's that about? It seems so unfair.

My messed up knees hurt just as bad when I'm not depressed, but somehow it's easier to ignore them.

It's also quite possible that if I did something to address the pain it wouldn't play into my depression.

I look for your posts on DU, undergroundpanther, and it seems especially appropriate to me to complain about aches here in MHSG, and whatever support I can offer here, you got.

:hi:

4. Can you find a place to sit in the sun a few hours? That might help.
Our zoo has a tropical room full of birds and plants. It's very relaxing on a cold winter day.
