$65 bucks for a week's worth of meds |
|
and generic meds at that.
i'm set up with the county mental health department, but don't get into the psychiatrist until next thursday, but i didn't have enough meds to make it through til then, so i called my old doc and asked for a week's worth.
the cost pissed me off, but it's worth it because it is not pretty when i go off my meds

1. If they are Generic, have you checked the Walmart, Target |
|
and Walgreen's web site for their $4.00 list? Each has different meds on the list (or 3 months for $10.00). You may be able to put together from one store the other. It would require new or transfer prescriptions but the saving is great. I had my Doc write a prescription for me for a pill I take in a 10 mg dose. The 20 mg dose of the same price on the Walmart list. Simple enough, get the 20 mg, cut it in half. The Doc went along. Lasts twice as long and I feel I beat them at their game.

5. none of my meds are on the list |
|
but i'm set up with the county's rx assistance program, so i got a month's worth of three different meds for about $40. but i'm not going to have to refill all of them every month because one is only as needed and a 30-day supply will last me at least 3 months.
i also got some of the $65 back because the state now also offers an automatic rx assistance for people without insurance.

2. I have a list of generics and where they can be bought cheap. |
|
You probably won't need this list, but feel free to pm me with your meds and I will check if you can get them cheap. I have a list for walmart-kmart-kroger-meijerfree-publixfree-schnucksfree.

4. the chart I have lists meds covered by store |
|
walmart has most of them, but the other stores have some meds that walmart does not cover. Some meds are free at the other stores.
of course the good psych meds are not on the list.

6. i called all the pharmacies in town and none of my meds are on the list |
|
but i'm signed up with the rx prescription program in my county and, after one more refill, i should be able to get at least one of the meds for free directly through the manufacturer.
