change of therapist and pdoc |
|
I feel I have hit a bit of a wall with my current providers, and have decided not to continue with DBT. The decision to stop DBT may make my decision for me, however it is possible that where I am at now will treat me even if I stop the group. There will be a meeting about little old me. I have done intake with another dr. Something about her really irks me, I don't know......I think she thinks she is smarter than me, and she may be, but I don't like it when drs assume because you have a mental illness you intelligence level is that of a child. Pro for switching, convenient, close to my gym, no dbt, a pdoc that specializes in bipolar. Con......starting over from square one, which could also be a pro, I'm not sure. I hate these kind of decisions......I have 15 visits with new doc to decide.
