I Just got some good stuff

Last week I went to the peer run group I go to,they had a lunch party.
I expected to go there chow and hang out. But nooo. They gave me an award,for volunteering,and a 25 buck gift card,And yeah I got choked up.I will be running 2 groups too a GBLT group(vortex) and a group to educate people about abuse and boundaries..Stuff like what abuse is and isn't and how to protect and defend from abuse/abusers be it verbal, physical or otherwise.

And..This week I have been asked to be the consumer rep for my county.
which means monthly I'll be meeting with the state mental health board with all the other county reps.We will do stuff like write the grievance procedures for PRP's in Maryland,among other stuff that effects mental health system and how it is provided in the county and in the state . It'll be interesting to be sure. I have met with the state people before,I already know some of them.(he he funny story for another time) It's gonna be interesting because with the state I can be very direct I don't mince words,I am inquisitive,and I will go there.I can read through bureaucrat -ese and find the loopholes and traps too..Wish me luck y'all.
