Is it wierd to give stuff away ? |
|
Even as a little kid I gave things away because I couldn't stand stingy kids that wouldn't let me play with thier toys.Since i didn't have alot of store bought toys I made toys and gave them away. I give away paintings that could maybe sell if I chose to get into the market, but when something is done it is done. Sometimes i think people think I am coming on to them and I am not.We live in such a greedy world now.

It means you are really sensitive and have empathy. If giving stuff away makes you feel good about yourself, itf it feels happy, and gives you joy,and you are not starving your kids to do it than...Do it.(who gives a flying fuck through a doughnut what certain people say)
Our culture is sick. This particular kind of all 'murican selfish "in DUH vidualism" has twisted alot of people's empathy, they are taught by the might makes right winner takes all game to accept sociopathy in it's milder forms as "normal".(the motive of a sociopath is to relive thier boredomcaused by lack of feeling by focussing on life as a game,to win and dominate others my any means they can get away with)Our society loves a fighter,a winner who appears cool, in control, who's popular over confident.Basically a "sucessful" strongman with no heart.People who care, who have emotions, compassion sensitive and like giving to others are labeled weak,by a culture taught that ideas like compassion or standing up against"winners" for the little guy make you"lose". That is why on some level so many things are so corrupt and people are allowed to be so hypocritical as the safety net is being shredded by the rich bullies and life is made harder on workers poor people the disabled ect.
Giving freely with others is what disempowers the greedy few holding the needy hostage with desperation. It is the selfish who are terrified of losing when you give.I think deep down thety know they take so much more than they deserve they guaruntee they lose it all when the deprived cut off thier gravy train and realize they have been taken advantage of by a charming monster who gives nothing in return...
So of course the selfish greedy types want you to stop giving and these self oriented people will try to say to you that you are sick, guilty or stupid for sharing.I think they say that crap because it shows themselves, and the world how sickeningly greedy they are and how much damage thier greed does to humanity that would not happen if people just stopped aping thier greed and playing games like they do. The greedy can't have thier fake mask of sanity torn away by a kindhearted person with the guts to walk thier talk if they want to dominate and claim authority over how others live and take all they can from others and not be asked to share or give back.

2. I give away things all the time |
|
I just gave an old truck that I had to a friend when I bought a new truck. They weren't going to give me much for it on trade and I thought my friend would get better use of it. It does need some work, but for about $500 he can have a good running truck. Plus my friend is out of work right now and didn't have any transportation.
That's just the latest thing I gave away. I gave away a lot of household goods when I moved back in with my parents for a while. I didn't have anywhere to put the stuff, but instead of trying sell it or rent a storage compartment, I just gave the stuff away.
I think being generous is good for the soul. It's good karma.
