| Has anyone read 'Barbarians, Marauders and Infidels?" |
|
Written by Antonio Santusuo It is an excellent short history of the wars of the middle ages, from about 500AD to about 1500AD
It covers the Barbarian Wars with the Byzantines (the goths, the huns, the franks, the vandals etc.), the Wars of the Holy Roman Empire, the Crusades, the Hundred Years War etc.
I find it to be a great book, especially for someone who is not well versed in this timeperiod, like myself. I am far more comfortable in 20th century history, but I found this to be a great starter text.
