Have been checking out the trailers via Mugglenet, and it looks good. Disappointed at some of the things they're leaving out: Winky and Dobby's kitchen issues, SPEW. I hope they leave in all of the teen angst though: The fights between Harry and Ron, Ron's jealousy and emotions regarding his parents' financial situation, the fight between Ron and Hermione after the ball.

2. I didn't like the SPEW subplot |
|
I tended to skip over those parts of the book

But I think it gives some insight into Hermione's nature, and the complicated history between wizardkind and the house elves.

14. I hated reading all those quidditch matches. |
|
Was amused to see Rowling didn't really like writing them. ONe of the few heads up she's given for the last book is that she's relieved she doesn't have to write another quidditch match. Me too!
I think SPEW was much closer to her heart. And as a former labor organizer, it was certainly close to my heart.
But then, that's the brilliance of Rowling. What she includes in the books is interpreted and enjoyed in so many different ways.

how they're even going to BEGIN to make a film of OOTP.
you could spent 2 hours on chapter 28 alone.
or maybe that's just me.

7. That's why i think there will be remakes of all |
|
of the films at some point. They have had different directors with different interpretations with even changing fundamentals - like Hogwarts. GOF is rich with opportunity. OOTP well that is going to be a challenge!:P

11. I think the Hermione in the films |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-19-05 07:59 PM by XemaSab
is too cute... Hermione in the books isn't hot like that.
It's really the one casting choice I think they erred on.
Well, Snape isn't hot like that either in the books, but we love Snape, so hey, it's all good. :D

12. might have been an accident |
|
In the first film, I thought Emma W. was very Hermione-ish, except without the huge teeth. However, puberty has been very good to her.

16. exactly... but while I'm as big an HP fan as you'll get, |
|
I don't mind Hermione being hot in the movies... in fact, I love it. Make them even more enjoyable. (I'm 16, it's alright. :D)
