I think working in call centers has contributed to my being a loner |
|
I'm currently working for a cable company in a college town. My current gripes:
1. Spoiled brat kids who don't pay their bills and then call to bitch when their services are turned off.
2. Parents of the above calling from out of state because little Kyle or Crystal didn't bother to take back their equipment and close their account before trotting home for the summer. Now Mommy (who paid the bill all through last term) got the latest bill and is upset because we didn't intuit that Baby Dearest wouldn't be back in town again until August, and are continuing to bill BD while BD's old roomie continues to enjoy the cable and internet that Mommy was paying for.
3. Cheap ass people who can afford an HD TV (which cost at least several hundred dollars, no?) but call to bitch about the converter for which they're paying $12.50 a month. The worst thing is I can't call them cheap ass or say 'see ya" when they threaten to go to Dish because we won't allow them to buy their own cable box.
I suppose it sounds like I hate people. Sometimes I wonder if I don't.
Anyway, my cats company is much more preferable...
