So in my periods of solitude I enjoy listening to music. Like many of you, I loath socializing but occasionally will venture out to small venues to experience the music. Recently, my love of music drove me to San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music Festival. The music was great but the crowd was crazy, for lack of a better word. Not necessarily bad, most were carefree bohemians, it was just the vast number of them. So how did I survive? Weed, beer and knowing where the potter potties were is how I managed not to go insane. Weed allows me to focus on the music and forget my social environment. Beer is a means to an end. The festival was a sea of constant and vibrant socializing that was too much for me to handle. The only place I could go for solitude was the restroom. I emerged from the potter potties much relieved.

1. I love music but can't stand crowds--so I only listen at home. |

but if I could, it would be Kennedy Center. Don't mind those crowds. Daughters love HUGE 'contemporary' venues. Didn't even do many of those when I was younger.
