Anyone else raising a family of loners? |
|
Seems weird to think of it, but I see my daughters running into the same things I did growing up. School has finally run it's course... bullying, dealing with the idiocy of a British curriculum school, ARG! Anyway, they my girls are going to use a homeschool academy next year.
My wife has had numerous negative experiences in recent years with the people we live around. We have the unfortunate privilege of having our housing AT our job overseas. We can't escape from people because of that.
For years I was a prof, but the last three I have worked in administration and have had to deal with people more... essentially managing an office full of primadonnas.
Seriously, it's enough to make you want to find a cabin in the woods somewhere!
However, we all get along together most of the time... there are some small consolations. :)

1. Mr Nay and I are loners -- we have an adult son who, in his growing |

up years, was very sociable compared to us. As an adult, he has become more of a loner in the sense that he finds a lot of people just too dumb for words, but he still has friends and such. Grandbaby Nay is pretty darn sociable, and cute too.
