Greetings all,
I am an avid DIY. Plus, I wannabe crafty and dabble around with things. I just tend to want to do more than I have the time, energy, or money to do. I love going to Craftsmart. I stroll the isles and think of all the things I would like to try.....maybe someday.
At any rate, I suppose this is more of a hobby than a DIY or craft...except I have sort of turned it into all of the above.
A couple of years ago I helped my mom and dad move from their house of 30+ years. Mom somehow managed to send me home in a 15 foot truck. Among the things she bequeathed me with were my marbles from when I was a kid (mom never throws anything out). I started getting into them and I have become a vintage marble collector.
Do you have any of your old marbles from when you were a kid? If you do I might buy them from you if you would like to sell them to me. Seriously, if you have some you might want to sell or if you know someone that does or if you encounter them in the wild...I hope you will think of me. Marbles are really cool.
Thanks!!!

but my m-i-l gave her collection to my eldest daughter. She had some beautiful, old ones. I like them a lot.

but i can't not pick them up when i find them. i have found several nice old ones while gardening. i have a nice old ceramic/porcelain one around here somewhere. what do you call the glass ones with the little fancy streaks in them? like a cat's eye, but fancier? i have one of those, too, but it is chipped.

I've got so many marbles... :eyes:
Clear ones, cat's eye, clay, wood (antique), big ones, small one, A big one with a sheep embedded in it. I have them in tins, vases, jars, bags... my husband collected them.
What are you looking for?
