More help needed - this time for polishing marble

In another thread, I posted about cleaning my shower floor.

In this post, I'm asking about polishing marble. In that same bathroom, we have marble floors and a marble top on the vanity. The marble next to the sink has a single etch mark from contact lens solution. This is not a stain. It is an etch. The only cure is to re-polish the marble. Not a wax or sealer, or other sort of cover/surface coating. A mechanical polishing.

Has anyone ever polished marble? What do I need?
