We just had wood floors installed in our bedrooms (the rest of the house is tiled) and I've been looking at area rugs for the rooms. The only thing I've found even remotely in my price range are the plain cheapo ones. Can you paint these? I swear I saw someone painting one on HGTV, but I can't find anything on the website. Would appreciate some input if anyone's done it before! Thanks!

1. I remember seeing that! |

They mixed acrylic paint and textile medium in equal parts.
The textile medium keeps the paint from crusting.
It takes longer to dry, but the fibers stay soft.
Then, they used a non-yellowing acrylic glaze to protect the finished product.
Try searching Carol Duvall episodes for more info.

I'll go look for that. I've had so little luck searching that I was beginning to think I'd lost my mind lol! So glad to see someone else saw it too lol!

or the backside of vinyl flooring. I'm planning to paint a large canvas when our rainy season is over.
