| Question about a coffee table - Crafters/DIYers HELP! |
|
I got a freecycled coffee table that has glass inlays, but is missing one of the glass pieces. (The table is supposed to have four inlays).
Is there anywhere one can go to match the glass that was inlaid, or is there something else I can do (would be willing to do all four inlays).

| 1. Take one of the remaining pieces of glass to your local hardware store ..... |
|
.... not a big box store like Lowes or HD, but to the local Ace or independent hardware store. They likely have the glass and will cut and smooth it to fit. May cost you five or ten bux.

Try to get tempered, shatter resistant glass. That's probably what happened to the missing pane, some idiot dropped something heavy on it.

| 3. I imagine you have a glass place around. We have |
|
one nearby that can make car windows, mirror inserts, custom screens, and cut any size glass that you want. I found them in the Yellow Pages under glass.
