I want to put in a garden fountain - Any tips? |
|
I have a bronze sculpture, a sort of Bacchus/Pan mask with a water spout through the mouth. It's mounted on a brick wall about three feet off the ground. I'm planning on putting a concrete slab down, then constructing a basin on the slab. I've also got some granite tiles that I intend to line the basin with.
I'm getting a submersible pump from Lowe's and some copper tubing to fasten to the wall to carry the water.

1. I am considering something like that also |

Have you researched the new solar pumps? They look pretty decent depending on how much water you want to move.

3. Thank you. Hadn't thought about those |

But will now investigate.
Need to place the solar panels away from the pump though as this won't get much sun. And I want to run the fountain when we have outdoor parties at night.

2. We want to do something similar... |
|
we have an old cistern on the side of our house and we want to create a water wall feature over the top and use a submersable sump pump to draw water out of the cistern.

4. We had a huge pond in our backyard a few years ago... |
|
but since we're selling, our realtor told us it could be a liability for anyone with children.
Look here; they have lots of great pond accessories and supplies: www.eponds.com
