1941 Sherwin Williams Paint and color Style Guide |

I saw this at the http://retrorenovation.com/">retro renovation blog. A reader of that blog found the paint brochure at a thrift shop and posted http://www.flickr.com/photos/java1888/3814722541/">all 60 pages on his flickr photostream.

Busy I bet.
That sure was a great thrift find. And even better that he put it on flickr. A labor of love to scan 60 pages. I have to go back and post some comments. The bathrooms are really great.

4. Oh yeah, our living room was a barkcloth extravaganza |
|
I'd love to have mom's old drapes.
Btw, I remember the bathroom sinks with the metal rod supports. I love the old kitchen stoves but would never trade away my self cleaning oven. Well, maybe I'd do it but then quit using the oven, lol!

5. My sis-in-law had a modernized/restored old stove |
|
She bought it at some seedy looking place in East L.A. She picked it out unrestored. They restored it with electronic ignition and a continuous clean oven (not self clean .... this is the older technology sort of porous "paint" on the oven panels that disperses grease and burns it off continuously as the oven operates).
It was very cool!
