Well, I didn't know we HAD a computer forum! I had posted on the employment forum a couple times the past few days. I said I'm a recruiter, been doing it for 20 years, and had really given up on doing I.T. anymore because it has gotten so flaky. Lo and behold, I've started getting some requirements in that remind me of the old days. I asked, would it be helpful to post a blurb about some of those in the employment forum? I'm hearing, yes, and the computer forum as well. So I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted already:

I just got more jobs in today. Here's some short descriptions of what I'm looking for:
NETWORK ENGINEER--5+ years network security admin, including firewall, VPN, IP VLAN. All the rest of the alphabet soup like LAN, WAN, etc. Heavy on the security side. to low $70's.
PROGRAMMER--They do want a BS degree on this one, and 5+ years practical experience. Java and Web development, with ERP interface. Manufacturing environment background. to low $70's.
NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR--Linux and Windows, along with Active Directory, tools like Visio. End user support. They just upgraded this position to a Senior level, and the salary up to low $70's as well.
APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST--End user software support and application expert. Basic network troubleshooting. Requires Lotus Notes 7.x and MS-Office. They do want at least an Assoc. degree. To low $70's.
These are full time positions with a manufacturer in a very nice medium size town with low cost of living. They are offering relocation packages, but practically speaking, I don't see them relo'ing from very far away. So folks in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, or Tennessee would probably work best. Maybe VA or W VA.
If I get positive feedback on these spots, there are certainly a lot more I can post, various areas, and other disciplines. I recruit for all kinds of engineers, and then in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device.
As I said before, I'd love to place some of you guys! PM me for complete job descriptions and requirements, or if you want to make other inquiries.
