| 1. As my grandfather says |

sometimes you have to love somebody a little more. Of course there would be extra challenges but that doesn't mean it can't work.

I'm a white, ex-Catholic, secularist woman, and my guy is AA and practices Islam. We're going on over five years now. We're also "second-chancers". I'll be fifty in April, and he's four years my senior. Back when he was looking for someone to have a family with, this probably wouldn't have worked. Later, when he had given up looking for a Muslim woman, but wanted someone to help raise the kids he had, I might not have been the most ideal candidate, either. But, at this time and place in our lives, we only want to grow old with each other. We're cherishing the time we have together, especially since it took so long for us to find each other.

good for both of you, and welcome to the group! unfortunately, things aren't particularly active here. ....but your input is appreciated!
i sincerely believe that this is what most people are seeking in life (ultimately). companionship, a person that treats them well (w/dignity, respect, etc.), a person whose company they enjoy, etc.
