It seems to me that Catholic church has moved farther and farther to the right over the past 30 or 40 years. Growing up, when I thought of Catholics, I thought of Latin American liberals; now, I think of Ratzinger and Opus Dei.
Just wondered whether that's just what's visible, or whether the RCC is really moving way to the right....

I focus on the spirituality and the tradition. That's what I love and hold dear. I respect the Pope, but I don't agree with much of what he says. The Church is more than the Pope, cardinals, and bishops. The Church is the people.

For some reason, it seems that most protestants have more difficulty just disregarding the politics.
