Just curious as to the demographics of liberal Christians on DU

That reminds me of a story.

When I was about six years old, my dad brought home some old forms and applications from his office. They had been replaced with newer items. He thought my brother and I would enjoy filling them out and playing office. We did.

I showed my mom one of the forms I had filled out. She started to laugh. I had filled in the blank for sex with the word "no." I told her that I wrote "no" in the blank because I did not know what "sex" meant. She told me that it meant whether you were a girl or a boy, but a better word was gender.

I hope kids are still that innocent. I suspect they are not.

Seems we're starting a grow a viable left wing of protestantism, beyond the alleged "liberalism" (just ask my ultra-fundy relatives) of the mainline denominations.
