| SIRIUS has just added a southern Baptist channel to its line-up. I will |
|
be organizing a mail/call drive in order to petition them and several other major media companies to add progressive programming to their line-ups. In the meantime, at least we have access to programming of this sort in smaller markets and on the web: http://www.hostdiva.com/liberalchristians/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=100&Itemid=1

| 1. Why - are the likes of Mohler and Land going to be on there? |
|
If so, that makes me want to vomit. They are shameless shills for the Bushies; somehow everything the Boy Prince does is "Godly."
Too bad we couldn't have a station with the pastors we enjoy listening to spreading the word about affirmation and inclusiveness.
Of course, I cancelled my Sirius account.

| 2. Exactly why I think we need to be lobbying for a nationwide resource |

of spiritual broadcasting. The link I included above has some wonderful stuff but not everyone wants to download pods to bring in the car. It would be nice if we could just turn on the radio and hear what we are looking for. :)

We certainly could.
GPV: I'm not technically a Christian, in the conventional sense. I'm a Religious Scientist, who sometimes goes to Unitarian-Universalist church.
That having been said, I enjoy listening to many UCC ministers, and Methodist ministers, and Unity ministers, and would support this type of broadcasting.
In my faith, we regard Jesus of Nazareth as a Master Teacher - Super-Enlightened One; we would all like to have the "Christ consciousness" show through us.
Hope that's cool.
Once again, I support my progressive Christian friends wholeheartedly.

faith and philisophical traditions. My interest lies in the notion that we should be tolerant and open-minded. I'd rather listen to an open-minded "name a faith here" than a close-minded Xn.
