It's really sort of lame and unnecessary that you constantly compare the birding in Central America and the Caribbean to the birding in South America in the introduction.
I know that South America has more bird species.
If I wanted to go to South America, then I would be reading a book on birding in South America.
I recently hit 600 for the United States (out of about 670), and I have decided that my next undertaking will be to bird Central America. When I have seen most of the birds in Central America, then I will go to South America.
But for now, I am interested in birding Central America. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to tell me that I could see WAY the hell more birds in Colombia or Peru.
That is all. :)
