1. Greater or Lesser?

Come on, is the bird 16.5 or 18 inches long? How big is the nail on the bill? What is the EXACT shape of the head? Is it more flat or more sloped on top? Where is the peak of the head? Does it have a "corner"????

2. ah, scaup rage.

many times have I felt that.

but it pales compared to "silent empidonax rage"....

3. Silent empidonax rage usually resolves itself fairly quickly

With the bird flying away. :P

Scaup rage, on the other hand, was felt palpably yesterday when I spent about an hour and a half looking at a bird sitting on the ocean.
