So yesterday afternoon, im removing the gas grill so we can get a patio installed next week. And I look up to spot a Rose Breasted Grosbeak on the feeder. First one of the year!
and if thats not enough, an Indigo Bunting shows up to keep him company.
while im amazed at my good fortune, i spot two new sparrows with black and white heads. Im pretty sure they are White Crowed Sparrows. A completely new bird for me!

My new bird for the year today was Eastern Wood-Pewee, but I did get a good look at a Blackburnian Warbler - my favorite warbler!

I don't think those were white crowned sparrows because all of those are in my backyard. ;) Seriously, my yard is covered with them. They've been here all winter and so far all of the spring just fattening up for the trip north.
