Wednesday, 4/6: I worked out today--did you? |
|
I'm glad you guys don't mind me posting this every day. I figure it's one way to keep me motivated. I'm sure there will be days that I miss, but I'm going to make an honest effort to workout every day, and coming here and posting (even bragging) helps to keep me honest, I think.
I did my usual track work. Today I jogged 1.5 miles and walked .2 miles. I'm thinking that for the rest of this week and all of next, I will continue on distance and duration, and after that I will start to work on picking up the pace. (My sis told me to forget about speed entirely for the first 3 weeks, so that's my plan.)
I also did the usual ab work out and then the free weights for the arms, shoulders, triceps, and pecs.
I also broke down and rented a locker. I don't mind lugging in my work clothes every day, but the shampoo, soap, hair spray, hair dryer, deodorant, etc., was getting to be a work-out too.
It's official... I'm sticking w/ the gym.

1. I did, and I love that you're running with this. |
|
Today was back/lats day. I upped my weight on the Hammer Strength upright row machine to somewhere upwards of 300 lbs. I lost count, I admit. I'll be paying for THAT little stunt tomorrow...
Sticking with the gym, MissMillie is an awesome concept. We'll be holding you to it, so don't let yourself, nor us, down. j/k...sort of.

3. Hammer Strength makes the BEST machines. |
|
I almost like their stuff better than freeweights.

5. A big "Me Too" on Hammer Strength -- great for my shoulder injury! |
|
I can still train w hammerstrength in spite of my (repaired and recovering) rotator cuff injury. That makes me very happy. Terrific machines.

That's double what I normally do in a day. I ran 4 miles this morning and then 4 miles this evening. I doubled up because I don't think I'll get a chance to exercise tomorrow. I'm bringing my son to the zoo in the morning, and it sounds like we are going to have bad weather in the afternoon.

ZenLeftyGirl is feeling like crap, so we decided to just go for a nice walk today while the sun was still out.

My dad has the worst cold he's had in years. I think often the change of seasons messes w/ ya.
