My hip isn't just right. It's not an unbearable kind of hurt, but it's not right either. I think I need to rest it from carrying my weight for a while.
This has me a bit depressed. I'm not giving up, but I do feel like I'm giving in, if only temporarily.
I jogged 1.5 miles today, and then went to the weight room and did my upper body/ab work out. I also added a leg press to try to strengthen the muscles in the hip and inner thigh.
I think for a while I'm going to ride the stationary bike and walk for my cardio, and in the weight room I'll continue to use the leg press to strengthen the muscles so that they are better able to support my weight when I jog.
I won't be at the gym tomorrow. I'm going to a concert tonight and I expect I'll want to sleep-in in the morning.

although it must be a day for it....
I started my 2 mile, timed walk, this morning and after about 3/4 mile my right calf cramped up badly....probably dehydrated from drinking too much coffee.... anyway....limped through the rest of the mile and then gave up ....stretched ....came home and did the upper body workout....
damned calf still hurts...

it's like someone throwing a monkey wrench into the middle of your good workout streak! Gah!
Anyway, yes on the workout today. Back, and I think that NO-Xplode (thanks flvegan!) actually works. It was a pretty serious back workout for not having done one in like 3 weeks!

Mondays and Wednesdays are very long days for me at work but I can handle Mondays pretty well since I'm rested from the weekend. It really catches up with me on Wednesdays, though. I'll be back at it tomorrow, though! :D

stretches. The 45 min - 1 hour is the total time for all of it. More like an hour. Half of it the floor work and stretches.
