Thurs, 4/14: I did *not* work out today--did you?
I went and saw Rod Stewart last night, and needed to sleep in this morning. I'll be back on track tomorrow.

1. Got my bike back yesterday afternoon
I walked the 1.5 miles from my house to the bike shop and then braved rush hour traffic (yeah, I know, "rush hour in Central Wisconsin is a joke) to get it home on the State Highway. Exercise was great and now I'm going to do the City Bike trail (about 10 miles)for my morning workout.

5. May you have a good, long workout.
I hope your stamina is high and your focus is spot on. Remember, full range of motion, squeeze every rep, push it until failure.

4. toning this morning
Power Hour, high-rep, low weight workout.

I may also try to take an hour walk tonight to compensate for the HUGE Thai noodle bowl that I inhaled at lunch :o.

6. I won't be getting to the gym today.
I'm leaving work early to help a friend with their a/c. It's Florida, and we're getting into the hot months.

7. I rode in another neighborhood today
and discovered that it is really boring. But I did get in more than ten miles. I'm doing a 12-mile beginner ride Saturday and I'm signing up for a 25 mile ride the first weekend in May. Can't get enough! :D

13. Stability ball cardio?
Interesting! I've seen pilates on a ball, but not cardio. I have a stability ball, but other than a few ab routines from my DVDs, it just sits there collecting dust. I'd *love* to incorporate cardio with a ball--what does it entail?

17. I guess that there isn't much about cardio with the ball
...yet. One of the trainers at my health club went to a seminar on cardio on the ball. She was so thrilled that she got it put on the schedule. It is fun and a good low-impact workout.

Cardio on the ball incorporates basic calesthenics, step, and kickboxing techiques done while standing holding or swinging the ball or seated on the ball.

Some standing movements--jogging up and back, side step touch, grapevine, knee raises, low hops, jumping jacks, lunges side-to-side, lunges back.

Some seated movments--knee raises, inner thigh raises, jumping jacks, kick forward, punch forward, punch side-to-side, hook punch, uppercut, reach up, reach side-to-side.

One or more of your local health clubs may have it on their group exercise schedule. I suggest that you do a few sessions there to get used to the ball and routines. Then you'll know enough to create your own routines.

12. Kind of.
I got dressed to run. I had someone stopping by the house for what I thought was a quick meeting. Of course we ran over. So I never did run. I did maybe 45 min. of yoga before I went to bed just to get rid of that twitchy feeling. I won't have time to workout today either. Bah!

14. Yup, arms day yesterday (Thurs)
The first time I've made it to the gym on arms day in like 4 weeks. Hurts today (which I'm happy with).

Today is legs. Ack!
