Mono must be pretty tough to shake. 6-8 WEEKS!!? WOW.
Have you been tested yet? You should definitely see a doctor. If he says you have it too, then be sure to ask him what activities you can do.
Hopefully you don't have it. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I most definitely will find out if there is anything I can do.
I'm told that the real danger is damage to the spleen. Apparently the virus really taxes the body's immune system, especially the spleen. A wrong fall or a bump in the right place could mean serious damage to the spleen.
I have a feeling that if I were to ride my stationary bike, that would be ok. It may be true, even, that my run on the indoor track will be ok. I think they worry about a road run because of divits in the road, rocks, etc, that might make one fall.

And you've been so faithful to your training...it DOES suck!
Be sure to keep us posted on whether you've contracted it or not. *wishes the best of health upon you*

3. Hopefully it is just allergies or something. |

When will you know?
But let's say it IS mono and you have to back off for a little. Once you have reached a certain level of fitness, it is much easier to regain the previous level after some time of inactivity. The really hard work comes when you need to reach a new high level of fitness. Getting back where you were is not as hard.
I know how disappointing it is to get sick or injured when you are really working hard. Back when I used to train seriously, I HATED taking time off. But really, if I could do it over, I would definitely take more rest days.
Good luck, hope you are healthy :hi:
