What a steal I got on running shoes |
|
Spira shoes. I guess they've been banned from the Olympics (oh, whatever will I do? I guess I can't run in the Olympics now! :sarcasm:)
The original price on them was $130.
I got them for $29.99.
I guess they've got springs in them--real metal springs. (They even came with a warning that they might set of metal detectors at airports.)
What research I've done on them says that the spring actually helps translate the shock of the impact of your foot on the ground into energy for your next step.
They claim you can run longer and with less stress on joints and muscles.
No wonder the Olympics doesn't want anything to do with them.

3. I really like how my knees and hips feel when I wear these shoes |
|
They're a little stiff in the upper part of the shoe, and I think they're a tad heavier than the typical shoe, but I think the springs help make up for that.
I may buy another pair.
