I've hit a plateau, any advice?
I've got 5 more pounds to lose for a total of 12lbs. I haven't lost anything for 2 weeks and I don't know how to deal with the last few I want off. Any advice? Do I need to increase my excercise? Or, just do something different than what I'm doing now?

1. When I'm losing, I go through several periods of no loss.
I checked into it and found it repeated several times that it isn't even considered a plateau unless you haven't lost for three or ever four weeks!

Some advice I've read is to change (not necessarily increase) your exercise to something else for awhile. I'm not sure why it works -- it could be that the losing would have started again anyway.

2. What's your diet/exercise routine?
Also, what is/was your 12 lb goal? Was it to reach a certain weight, clothing size, bodyfat %, or ?

You probably just need to change your routine and shock the body into dropping those last 5 lbs (the toughest to lose).

3. Goal was to get back to my weight from 2 years ago
Stressful 2 years and poor eating really packed on the pounds. I want to be able to fit into my old clothes again and I'm almost there. For the past couple of weeks, no weight loss and I'm frustrated. I exercise to a video that I love, "Kathy Smith's Great Buns and Thighs," it's old, but it does the trick. I'm used to the video now, so I think I'll try something new. From the sounds of it, I think I need to shock my body to get these last pounds off. My diet is eating more fruits and veggies and less crappy snack food that is around the house. I found that if I don't eat much of a dinner, I feel better and am losing weight too.

5. Have you seen a change in your body make up?
You may be losing fat and gaining lean muscle. The scale may tell one story but the clothes may tell another.

6. Try changing your diet like carb cycling or shocking your
body with new workouts. Instead of the treadmill, try the elliptical machine. Also, if you're not against them, try a good thermogenic (fat burning supplement) like Lipo-6. They can be good for losing those last few pounds, but only with a solid diet plan or else it's money down the drain.
