Thurs, 6/23: My workouts are still move-related. What's your story |

Last night I filled up my car twice (and a friend's car too) and drove all that stuff over to the new place and unloaded it. I even did some unpacking.
I must have gone up and down the stairs about 30 times.
My thighs/knees are sore and I can feel some soreness across my chest.
Tomorrow, I'm going to run--come hell or high water.

It was really warm and humid this morning so I took my 3 miles through the woods of the local park/nature trail. It was cool and beautiful....
Also walked through the zoo on the way back through. There is a new "Raptor Walk" with all kinds of birds of prey in there...Several different kinds of hawks and a Peregrin Falcon and a Great Horned Owl who just stared at me as I walked through....I looked at those eyes and thought "Wonder what's new with the Runaway Bride? :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
Anyway it was about 40 minutes of good exercise....

I thought instead of sitting while going up one of the hills, I'd "mash" it, which means to stand up on the pedals, like we used to do all the time when we were kids. I guess I was in too high a high because I couldn't make that bike go at all! I tried to lower the gear but then I came to a stop and the gear change didn't catch so I couldn't get the dang thing going again! I finally got off the bike, picked up the rear wheel and turned the pedals so the gears would catch, and took off.
And I decided that I'm doing just fine spinning up the hills on my butt! :)
