Motorless treadmill? I saw a Denise Austin tread mill that was motorless. |
|
I'm not sure how it works. Anybody with any experience on this type of treadmill? Would you recommend it?

I have never tried to workout on it seriously. But I would not buy one for myself based on my small experience with it.

2. I have manual treadmill... |
|
It's on an incline and uses gravity as its "motor." I use it sometimes because it's better than doing nothing, but I would recommend a motorized treadmill over this one. My biggest gripe is that you have to hang onto the handles ALL THE TIME, so you arms are not free and you don't get any additional work for them.
Hope that helps! :-)

3. "It's better than doing nothing'" and I think that might be the key for me |

Also I live in a little, tiny house. Any kind of treadmill that takes up space is a real problem.
Since my original post, I went to our used sports equipment store. They have a manual treadmill for $50.00.
Now, just to get it home in my little, tiny car :)

4. That's the way to do it! |

Then you haven't invested too much if it's not for you. Good luck!

5. i tried a few of those before i bought a motorized treadmill |
|
i felt some strain on my knees which may just be a problem relevant to me but i didn't enjoy it and the ones i tried felt a bit rickety. I saw many treadmill that had motors for about $200 more then those without. I would go for the motorized one if you can swing it financially.
