Started a long drawn out process today.
I had posted earlier about buying an elliptical

this monster here

Well we bought it, and after spending 3 hours putting it together I finally began the long road to getting back in shape and dumping excess weight
.
I started with a simple 20 minute regime on the elliptical to begin with and all I can say about this machine is :wow:

What a freaking workout! I ended up soaked with sweat and feeling endorphins spinning wildly in my head.

I'm going to take my time and bring myself up to speed slowly, watch what I eat, NOT diet, but eat right, again, and hopefully by next summer be close to where I want to be.

I have a short term goal set for Christmas and will begin by working towards that. It's reasonable, as far I'm concerned, but I won't go over the egde if I don't achieve it, but will work even harder to make it happen.

Wish me luck! I plan on posting here and maybe the diet forum a little more for some advice and sharing, so hope to see some of you around.

I've found this group to be very supportive & helpful, and best of all, it's a good reminder of our everyday milestones in fitness. Keep us posted. :hi:

4. I like elliptical trainers
I like the fact that they're zero impact - good for recovery workouts or if joint are having trouble, I think. Additionally, you have to stand instead of sitting like on a stationary bike, which I also like.

Good luck with the workout!
