Should I let my 10 year old start running with me? |
|
I have a 10 year old, who is very active-loves fitness and sports- and has lately expressed an interest in joining me for my daily run. Is she too young? Can she be hurt? Any advice is appreciated.

I don't think you're ever too young to get into a fitness routine. I think it's great.
You may need to let her decide how far you run for a while... but that's ok.

2. Running is okay, but serious weight training is a nono at that age |

They can do bodyweight exercises (pushups, situp, pullups) and running. In fact, it's great for them.

and they all walk with me. My kids are pretty active. They also do push-ups, sit-ups, etc with us lol! It's pretty funny watching a 4yo try to do push-ups lol.
