Friday, 12/2: I worked out today--did you? |
|
Hi gang! :hi:
I jogged 3 miles today (I think at a pretty good pace) and then went into the weight room to work on my abs.
I may get a run in on Sunday, but after that, I'm out of commission for a while (hernia repair on Monday).
Please keep up w/ your routines!

when I talked to the doc about it, he gave me the "when your body tells you" line, which is absolutely right, but of course, I'm anxious to get back as soon as possible and was hoping to at least get a ballpark timeline of when I could think of trying to work out again.

4. 4.25 miles on the treadmill. plus the standard. |
|
I got wrapped up watching the commentary on the pilot for Firefly and just kept walking. Did the 15 minute pilates cooldown afterwards. Since I scored the nearly new treadmill at an estate sale, I've quit going to the gym. Why deal with obnoxious people if I don't have to?
I keep forgetting to post here. (duh)
I've slowed down the aerobic/cardio workouts because I have a strained Achilles tendon right now and don't want to stress it too much. So basically, every day I have my nice walk (not that I ever jogged; that being a recipe for Cowper's droop and a spinal injury if there ever was one), some strength training for the arms and the pilates cooldown.
I'm starting to get a little suspicious that something's not right in my biochemistry, though... It can't be normal to have as many connective tissue injuries as I have had in my life.... So off to the ortho next week to talk about them all and see if there's a connection.
