| Just popping in for the first time. Do people here exercise EVERYday?? |
|
are you people freaks, or something??
Truthfully, I have gotten out of shape these past couple of months, and I'm looking forward to getting back on track.
It's all part of the ebb and flow of our lives, right??
Greetings, one and all! :hi:

I think it's safe to say that SOMEONE over here exercises every day but not necessarily the same someone. ;)
My goal right now is to exercise an hour every day, whether it's the elliptical, strength training, bicycling, or walking. But I'm in between semesters and have plenty of time on my hands. Once school starts again, it will remain my goal but I'm not going to consider myself a failure if I don't.
I think you're right that you just keep trying, even if your schedule gets messed up or you experience some sort of setback. Good luck! :hi:

Yeah, NOT exercising these past few weeks has really opened up my schedule! heheh. When in peak condition, I'll be working out 4-7 hours a week, more when I'm going on long training rides. It takes a lot of time to be that committed.
Like you said, just keep on trying....I'll be back in the swing of things soon. :hi:

I'm in the gym 6 days a week. I usually don't post in the daily threads, as my routine is the same (1 bodypart per day) and I'm going to bore the crap outta folks.
Welcome to the club, Shine!

I've noticed your muscles in the lounge pix threads. for a vegan, at that.
Wow, 6x/wk. Impressive. I'd be happy with 3x/wk.
I like to alternate my gym stairmaster/weighttraining workouts with cycling, outside. I have a road bike. That's my thang.
Happy New Year to you! Wishing you Abundant Health... :hi:

I try to get to the gym every weekday (my gym is at my place of work), and when the weather permits, I add a jog on one of the weekend days.
It's what constitutes a "regular" day for me. When life gets hard or stressful, I stay grounded by keeping to my "regular" exercise routine. It keeps me sane and grounded.
I'm sure the physical benefits go beyond keeping my weight down and keeping my heart healthy. I know that stress can raise havoc on a persons body, especially when one doesn't get enough oxygen. I also know that I sleep better when I keep faithful to my exercise.
I've lost close to 100 lbs in the last 14 months, and I have promised that I am NEVER going back to where I was. 7 to 12 hours a week isn't too much to devote to keeping that promise.
I hope you come to love movement as much as I do. Personally, I think it's addictive, but everyone is different.

| 9. Yeah, I'm definitely a movement oriented person, by nature. |
|
I am in a MUCH better mood if I am getting regular exercise. There are soooo many benefits, as you know...and I agree, it IS addictive.
Wow, 100 lbs?! That's amazing, I'm truly impressed. Kudos to you for your commitment to yourself. :applause:

I get depressed if I cant get my 3 miles in the morning. I take a slow stroll with whatever child of mine wants to come along in the evening for a mile. I like to incorporate lots of hills and such on the morning walk.
The times I don't are pretty bad, and the weight piles on. So back to the pavement I pound!

| 14. Good for you. Walking is the best. |
|
unfortunately for me these days, I'm suffering from some pretty bad left hip pain that I think might be Periformis Syndrome. It's hurts with every step to walk, so I'm feeling challenged in the physical exercise dept and trying not to get too bummed out.
The good news is, I've made it into the gym already twice this week and am about to go back in today.

| 11. almost everyday and sometimes twice a day. |

I do short workouts in the AM to get the day going. In the evening I'll climb at a gym, ride my bike in the summer, or do some other cardio work.

I admit, I am a freak....at very least I go for a long walk every day - hit the gym 5-6 days per week or run outside. I have a hard time remembering to post it for some reason though.

I'm doing Body For Life again but this is the first time I'm entering the contest officially and I'm excited. I love this program...I always get incredible results with it.
