Monday, 4/10: I'll be working out this evening--how about you? |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 09:51 AM by MissMillie
My son dropped a bombshell on me last night, namely that he didn't take the SATs (that he has been swearing up and down he took in January). After the repeated lies I asked him how he expected me to trust him, and his response is that he doesn't care if I trust him or not.
Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well last night. I stayed in bed a little later than usual this morning. I'll try to get a run in early this evening.
I should have gotten a dog. They are far more obedient.

1. I did a bike ride this morning, weights at home this evening. No |
|
gym today.
Re the other in your post, I know what you mean. Our children are both in their 30's, and it hasn't always been smooth sailing.

Sorry to hear your son hasn't been up front with you. I understand how such things can knock the wind out of you.

3. What reason did your son give for skipping the SATs? |
|
What does he want to do after high school? Does he feel by taking the SATs he has to go to college? How did he do taking the practice test? Was he discouraged?
Sorry for all the questions. I don't think there is any age that is an easy age in raising kids.
Ran another 4 miles today. Spring is finally arriving!

7. I did a brisk 45 minute walk |
|
home from work. I'm on work travel and in the most lovely weather in the world, so took full advantage yesterday evening.
I am very sorry to hear about your son. I remember a few instances of lying to my parents, and if it makes you feel any better, I felt terrible about it, even though I swore up and down that I didn't care whether they trusted me or not. I hope he'll manage to admit that to you, but if he doesn't, I hope you can believe it's true!

8. HI GUYS! I did 2 rounds of circuit training. I'm trying to get the |
|
instructer hip to the idea of adding boxing moves to the jog board.
And HI! I actually work out at least 4 days a week in my own gym and have since November.
BUT tomorrow, to help a friend out, I'm going to try JOGGING for the first time. Just a slow, easy one on a nice private dirt trail.
I am now in good physical shape and have started modifying my diet even more to lose another 15 lbs. I've started not eating breakfast until after I work out, so that my body uses up the reserves instead of the just indulged. HOLY CRAP IT WORKS.
I have also started to do 10-20 minutes of weights in the afternoon to further burn off more calories.
