My climbing wall/gym

I need to get a second olympic bar and get rid of the one that is on the bench.

2. Interesting power rack
I can't tell how you support your bar when you are doing squats. I see the safety bars, but how do you get started?

3. Look at the front supports
There are some angled pipes sticking out the back. The bar hangs off of those and I step back to do the squats.

4. Here's mine.
We are still working on it, but getting closer!

Here is the long wall.

Future arch.

Close up of the cave.

5. Very nice
How tall is it? Looks like 12'. You've also spent a lot on holds

6. Ceiling height, so I guess that would be 12'.
We need some serious padding. Also, a good stereo system. The good news is the previous home owners installed a small heat/AC unit in the garage, so that is taken care of.

The holds are pricey, but we got them at cost, and some we purchased second hand. We will fill in between the t-nut holes with some jibs and call it done.

I am getting antsy to climb on it, but I am also a little afraid. I have not climbed at all for three months. I am in decent all-around shape, but not in climbing shape. Not at all. I think a few weeks at the climbing gym doing endurance might be a good warm-up to the boulder wall. I am starting this weekend.

If you are ever in NC, stop by and give it a whirl! :hi:
