Monday, 3/5: I worked out today--did you? |
|
Legs and cardio. Had a good workout and feel burnt. The big question is how will the legs feel tomorrow.

Walked the entire loop at Duke Gardens twice. That included 2 rounds on the terrace garden steps. :-) And a lovely upclose and personal encounter with a Blue Heron.
I love walking there on sunny days. It's peaceful and pretty.

I did the Lotte Berk Basic Essentials tape. I have switched to Lotte Berk and Callanetics from the Ultimate New York Body Plan because I hurt my shoulder doing the exercises. There was an article on David Kirsch, the inventor of UNYBP in Vogue magazine, which confirmed my suspicions about him: anyone with a camera can call himself an expert and release an exercise tape. His plan relies on powders and pills that you have to buy from him. How is that going to teach people how to eat? Do we have to take a pill for the rest of our lives? So, I am not going to do his exercises anymore and will continue to eat low carb, low fat.
I, too, was sick last week, but feel a bit better now. Hoping to go running on Tuesday.

5. Monday: I walked hills & did a full body strength routine. |
|
It felt good!
I checked my workout log & was surprised to see a lapse of 3 weeks. Really? :wow:
I've been so good since starting this routine in September that it was surprising to see that much time go by & it felt like just a week, maybe. I know they say that you can break an old habit in 21 days, but I'm not sure I agree with that. You may be able to break the old habit, but it haunts you for much longer than 21 days!!
It is so easy to fall back into non-effort routines.
