Muscle loss?
I'll admit I've been lax the last 3.7 weeks, but the 25LB dumbbell I use for my biceps and the 22.5 pound weight I use for my traps seem far heavier now than they were 3.7 weeks ago.

Granted, I did 20 reps every other day UNTIL 3.7 weeks ago, at which point I've slipped.

In that time period, is some muscle loss to be expected?

I also lifted a 50LB barbell for a while (I had gone up to 3x20 reps every other day until I overdid my right shoulder. That was ~6 weeks ago. Now I can't even do 1x13 rep.)

Again, is this normal?

I have noted more neck stiffness and have exercised my neck and heard the vertebrae joints 'crack' (releasing gas).

Several Months ago, I did have a fall that impacted my neck. But I don't think I need to be worried about another disc embedding itself into my spine. I had seen improvements until I lapsed, which I mustn't ever do again.

How much of this is empty worry?

Thanks!

1. You mean,
you stopped lifting weights about a month ago and now you can't do as much as you did before you stopped?

Yes, you will lose strength during your lay off. But just get going again; you'll gain it back. :hi:

2. I've seen a dramatic decrease
in my abilities if I do nothing for as little as a week. A two week vacation where I'm not doing much physically requires about 2 weeks to get back to my old levels.

I'd say what you have is pretty normal.

4. I gave it up for 2 months at the end of last year ...
January I hit the floor again and it felt like the floor hit me. It took about 3 weeks before I felt like I was back.
