If the President-Elect can bench 200 lbs, I should be able to too |
|
No more excuses for me. Yes I can!
He has a similar build, but is obviously stronger, but he's also almost 10 years older than I am.
I think the maximum I've ever benched is about 180, and that was a couple years ago, and I've really slid since then. I can now barely do 150 if I'm lucky.
Hmmmmmmmm... I got my work cut out for little scrawny me.

One of my end of year goals is to get more consistent with my weights workouts. I'm consistent enough to stay at the same weights - not slide back - but I would like to be lifting more by end of the year.
I hadn't heard that Obama benches 200. That's pretty good for a guy as lean as he is, isn't it?

Yeah, I think 200lbs is pretty damned good, particularly for a 47 year old guy who's pretty lean. I saw the tid bit about him being able to lift 200lbs on one of the "little known facts about Barack Obama" threads floating around.
In the infamous "speedo" photo, he obviously looks like he lifts weights, but i didn't know he could lift that much.
It feels good to be back at the gym doing more than jogging while watching Tweety, which has been my workout pretty much since January.
