Fundraisers won't donate to dems if Dean wins |
|
Bob Novack says his sources say that if Dean wins many big time donors won't give to the democrats as long as he is chairman. If thats true then we don't need their money. Its only causing us to lose elections.

I think Novak is full of sh*t but I hope he's right about this, if big money loses interest in the Democrats and the Democrats lose interest in big money perhaps they'll go back to being a progressive party

19. I agree - we no longer need the big fund raisers - if they want to beg to |
|
get on board fine.
Otherwise we will know who the enemy is.
Bush did not pull down $1 Billion this last cycle from internet folks - and the small percentage of the corporate money thrown the way of Dems is an insult to begin with.

16. Duh!!! That's the whole point!!! |
|
The reason the DNC has turned into Casper Milqtoast is because they are afraid of turning off their big doners whose goals are TOTALLY different from the rank-and-file base of good, honest, hard-working traditional Democrats......if Dean is elected, he'll appeal to the base for fund-raising and not the big-money doners...THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT....
Novak is an idiot if he hasn't figured it out....
okay....
he's an idiot UNER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!!!
I wasn't a Deaniac during the primaries, but I want him as head of the DNC.....NOW!!!!!!

17. And what's the problem with losing Robber Baron donors? |
|
Sounds like the shock waves from the Florida DNC delegation endorsement of Dean are still rocking the boat.
The only Fat Cat donors who won't donate if Dean is the nominee are the corporate crooks. George Soros and his big donor allies support Dean.

I think there are some fat cat donors who are killing us. The sooner they scoot their asses back to the republican party lock stock and barrel the better off we will be. They only donate 23 cents on the dollar that they give to republicans anyway. Any politcian that falls for this because they are getting big bucks from these guys should be unemployed in their next election.

30. GOOD!! That would be one VERY positive step forward |
|
We need a party of, by and for The People -- and that means people-funded, not corporate or big-wig funded.
Of course, it's Bob Novak's job to keep the one person who'd make one helluvan effective DNC chairman out of the running if possible. Last week he even called him "unstable."
If Novak's against him, if Novak is making threats about funding over him, everyone here ought to KNOW that Dean is far and away the best choice, period, end of discussion. there is no way in hell Novak would be giving the Dems GOOD advice about who to choose. No way in hell.
