Do not pass problems onto the next generation - as in the National Debt? |
|
A DUer KingCoal posted that
A million seconds ago: A little over eleven days ago.
A billion seconds ago: Around 1968.
A trillion seconds ago: Around 30 B.C.
and asked "Shouldn't we start paying on the $7 trillion?"
I think this should be a Dem talking heads point tonight.
Indeed the media will not ever say how stupid Bush's line about "not passing problems on to the next generation" is. :-(
A Dem must step up and point out how our National Debt growth under Bush is indeed passing problems onto the next generation.

1. There's a list of neglected issues |

These have already been passed on at least once:
1. Energy Independence
2. Environmental degradation
3. Health Care
4. Urban Renewal
5. Efficient Transportation
6. Poverty/Homelessness/Hunger
The National Debt is a relatively new problem, at least in terms of it's size. It's funny how the sized debt that Reagan railed against as a sin would be welcome today while our current situation is now passed off by the Repubs as essentially meaningless.

1*10^12 / Pi*10^7 (Pi*10^7 is a really good approximation for the number of seconds in a year)

5. Thanks for the heads up - a trillion seconds ago as a movie title |
|
- nah-
I like "30,000 BC" as a title - but 1940's "One Million B.C." was a childhood favorite!
