The Democrats should have a Shadow Cabinet |
|
like in Britain.
Imagine this dialog on a TV chat show:
"Here with us to discuss the highway bill is Democratc shadow secretary of transportation Norm Mineta"
Wouldn't that help to keep us in the media spotlight?

1. Or hell just go all the way with a reality show. Every decision that BFFE |
|
makes they should show a behind the scenes process on how to make the correct decision.
A shadow cabinet though for sure.

2. Okay, just during Presidential races |
|
I was thinking the Democratic candidate could annouce his cabinet picks after his or her nomination, and they could go on TV, the print media, and radio.

3. trouble is, they hold the same positions as Republicans . . . |
|
on most of the crucial issues . . . Iraq war? check . . . bankruptcy reform? check . . . removing class actions suits from state courts? check . . . Patriot Act? check . . . laws protecting corporations? check . . .
and on . . . and on . . . and on . . . about the only two issues of significance the Democrats disagree with Repugs on are Social Security and the filibuster . . .
what we need first is a real opposition party . . . then we can speak of things like alternative cabinets . . .
