Can we get Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey to run for Senate rather than Bob Kerry? |
|
It would be nice to have a more liberal Dem from Nebraska - and the U of N-Omaha College Dem's seem to like him.
Plus the GOP appear to fear him to the point of screwing with his wiki entry (adding BS about "rude" to minority cops, an insubordinate being fired that released a report on the "rudeness" with no discussion of governance - BTW - his office investigated the "rudeness" (granted I'd prefer an outsider in this kind of thing) and I can find no follow up in local media). If the GOP fear him, maybe he is for real.

1. What's wrong with Bob Kerry? I like him! Have you herd him speak recently? |
|
He's a very sharp guy and very persuasive!

3. What's wrong with Bob Kerrey is that he said |
|
recently if Hagel didn't run, he would..and if Hagel did run, he'd support his candidacy. I don't trust Bob Kerrey.

4. I don't live in Omaha, but my impression is that Fahey is a pretty well-respected |
|
mayor. Omaha Steve may have to chime in on him, as far as being a better Senate choice than Kerrey.

5. the thing is, people know Kerrey can win Nebraska, Mike Fahey might not |
|
It'd be better to see how well Kerrey does for the Senate in 2008, then use the star power of two popular Democratic Senators to help Fahey if he decides to run for anything else.
Basically use old names to help new ones.
Of course, I have nothing to do with Nebraska politics, so what I say on here most likely won't happen.
