Calling everyone who knows Irish music c.1920 -1930
I posted this on the musical appreciation group with no results. In the movie, Road to Perdition, Paul Newman and Tom Hanks play an impromptu duet on the piano. The song is on the CD. It is only identified as Perdition Duet by John M. Williams. As near as I can make out, John M . Williams appears to have been an actor who sketched out this piece of music for the movie. I'm convinced that I've heard the basic melody before and that it is an old Irish song. Can anyone identify it?
