Marvel or DC?

Not much for spandex and super-powers titles anymore, and DC has a much greater range of more "serious" books in the Vertigo and Wildstorm lines. All of the titles I'm reading right now (100 Bullets, The Losers, Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Planetary, Sleeper, Desolation Jones, Ocean, Mnemovore), are published by DC under the Wildstorm or Vertigo imprint (not to mention that DC published Alan Moore's America's Best line).

so I guess DC. Though I hope the Siegels give the license to someone else when they finally regain the full copyright in a few years...maybe Dark Horse. They would respect the character better.
