I am amazed! Congress almost accomplished more in the lame duck session than the last two years combined. Whether you or I happen to agree with it is not the point - they passed the tax cut extension, got rid off DADT, passed the START treaty, passed the Food Modernization and Safety Act and the bill to help 9/11 responders.I guess bi-partisanship is not dead. Kudos to President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi for being able to reach across the isle and get it done.
That is on top of the Wall Street regulation bill, the Credit Card Act, the Health Care Act and more...I know my family and I are already benefiting in more ways than one and many of you are as well, whether you realize and agree with it or not - President Obama has accomplished more in the last two years and especially the last week.
At one point I and many at DU felt that our President was letting us down for more reasons than one. I certainly recant that notion. I am proud to have voted for President Obama and even though I may not agree with all he has done (I have serious beef with extending the tax cuts for the top 2% and the payroll tax cut),but when I look at the whole picture and everything that actually has been accomplished....he gets it done.
Oh yeah....I will certainly vote for him in 2012.

The resolve to get things done, the ability to work together, the guts to never stop.
I am proud to be an Obama/Biden supporter.

3. These last few weeks have been nothing short of amazing. |

I didn't think these things could be accomplished, that the Republicans had really gummed up the works. Enjoy the time off in Hawaii, President Obama. I think you deserve it.
